8.6 – Tim Palmieri at Two Boots in Bridgeport.

8.6 – Hot Buttered Rum and The Greencards at Podunk Bluegrass Festival in East Hartford.

8.6 - Ryan Montbleau Band at Infinity Music Hall & Bistro in Norfolk.

Weekend Jam Outlook 7.29 – 8.21 (Vibes Edition)

This weekend’s jam outlook is highlighted by Connecticut’s very own Gathering of the Vibes, a four day music festival. If you’re looking for live music this weekend in the state of CT, there is most likely no better place to be than in Bridgeport.

7.29Gathering of the Vibes: Day 1
Includes: Donna Jean Godchaux Band w/Jeff Mattson, Dark Star Orchestra, Turbine, Leroy Justice, Hot Day at the Zoo, Bronze Radio Return, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Christopher Robin and the Rockgrass Band, New Riders of The Purple Sage and Quincy Mumford.

7.30Gathering of the Vibes: Day 2
Includes: Furthur, Jackie Greene, The Radiators, Steve Kimock Crazy Engine, Kung Fu, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Caravan of Thieves, The Macpodz, Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings, Mix Master Mike, Quinn Sullivan and Billy Simons.

Furthur will play a four hour set on Friday night.

7.30Willie Nelson plays the first of two Connecticut shows. Friday night he will be at Foxwoods playing the MGM Grand Theatre at Foxwoods.

7.31Gathering of the Vibes: Day 3
Includes: Primus, The Rhythm Devils, Assembly of Dust, Max Creek, Zach Deputy, The Jamie McLean Band, Umphrey’s McGee, Deep Banana Blackout, Galactic, King For a Day, David Gans, The Primate Fiasco, The Trapps, The McLovins and Jamie McLean.

Les Claypool returns to GOTV, but not without a few old bandmates.

7.31 – Here’s where Willie Nelson plays his second straight show in Connecticut: Ives Concert Park in Danbury.

8.1Gathering of the Vibes: Day 4
Includes: Martin Sexton, Little Feat, Nas and Damian Marley Jr., Ryan Montbleau Band, Jimmy Cliff, Lubriphonic, Waylon Speed, Band Together, Harlem Gospel Choir and Andy the Music Man.

Weekend Jam Outlook 7.22 – 7.25

On tap for this weekend:

7.22Ryan Montbleau Band performs a seaside show at Esker Point Beach in Groton. Show begins at 6 p.m.

7.22Joan Baez will be at the historic Warner Theatre tonight in Torrington.

7.23Stanley Maxwell can be seen and heard at the Shoppes at Farmington Valley in Canton.

7.23 – Notable jam band Widespread Panic is at Ives Concert Park, right near the WCSU campus, in Danbury tomorrow night.

7.23 – O.A.R. will be joined by Citizen Cope for a show at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford.

7.23 – Dead tribute band Shakedown will be in Waterbury at the The Red House Bar and Grill.

7.24 – Stay in Danbury to check out Slightly Stoopid, Cypress Hill and Collie Buddz at Ives Concert Park.

7.24 - Head north out of state to Holyoke, Mass. to check out The Flaming Lips at Mountain Park.

7.24 – More locally, The Main Pub in Manchester will be holding it’s 30th anniversary block party, an all day event beginning at noon and featuring The McLovins.
